Handmade Birthday Cards
Last October my amazing husband surprised me with a Cricut! It’s this wonderful little machine that cuts out thousands of shapes and layers creating beautiful and intricate designs. At first when I got it, I felt like a really old lady huddling over her craft table diligently working or her corny little cards. {I have not aged gracefully…in the sense that I keep discovering new hobbies or new music that I never imagined myself liking, and I almost feel embarrassed.} But the more and more I create things, the more proud I become. I love making homemade cards and calendars and seeing people’s faces when they realize that I spent my own time making something for them. It’s very heartwarming…and rewarding.
So here is a snippet of a few cards from my birthday set. I loved making them almost as much I loved giving them!
Happy Birthday Jeffy! This card suited my oldest brother perfectly.
I put a little calendar inside with his birthday circled so that he would know I would never forget his birth date ever again! {<– Bad habit.}

Happy Birthday Ebony! When I think of her, I picture bright, fun colors and delicious desserts!

Happy Birthday Luca! Luca is my nephew and I thought a colorful, playful robot would be fun to make for him.

Happy Birthday Stefanie! Stefanie lives far away {sad} and I so wish I could have been there on her birthday to celebrate with her. Fireflies in a jar were the next best thing.
